As the Earth Summit began Wednesday, India had more than one reason to be happy, with its main concerns addressed in the draft of the declaration to be adopted by the 90 global leaders here Thursday, but felt let down by rich nations for lack of commitment in funding green programs. 'One significant development has been the restoration of the centrality of the principle of common but differentiated responsibili- ties,' said India's Environment Minister Jayanthi Natarajan, who is assisting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, also here, at what is also called the Rio+20 Summit.
Her reference was to the demands of poor and developing economies that rich coun- tries, which are seen as having been primari- ly responsible for the present environmental degradation, must share a greater burden in restoring the health of our planet. Under a proposal gaining ground in Albany, New Yorkers may soon have to contend with cameras that record the speed of a passing car and issue v iolations automatically. Though similar programs have al- ready been put into effect for red- light and bus-lane violations in the city, the new bill could signal a sweeping shift for drivers. The pro- posal initial ly calls for as ma ny as 40 cameras to be mounted high across the city, of which 20 can be rotated, ensuring that drivers are never cer- tain when their speed is being tracked.
Only those who exceed the city’s speed limit, typically 30 miles per hour, by more than 10 miles per hour would be given tickets, receiving a $50 fine. For those who exceed the limit by more than 30 m.p.h., the fine doubles to $100. Drivers would not be docked points on their license s. Transportation advocates, as well as the city’s Transportation Depart- ment, have long lobbied for a speed- camera policy, but supporters say the bill has finally cleared a significant hurdle: gaining a Republican spon- sor, Andrew J. Lanza of Staten Is- land, in the State Senate. “We live hurried lives,” Lanza said. “If people know these are out there, they’ll think twice.
Nobody wants to pay a fine.” He was confi- dent that the bill would pass the Sen- ate before the legislative session ends this week; a similar bill in the As- sembly, sponsored by Assembly- woman Deborah J. Glick, also re- quired passage. Proponents say scores of New Yorkers are killed each year in speed- ing-related crashes, and the use of cameras has already proved effective in other cities. Since speed cameras were installed in Washington in 2001, the police said traffic fatalities had fallen 56 percent. (In New York City, there were 243 traffic fatalities in 2011, about a 38 percent reduction from 2001, New York Times report- ed.) But Bhairavi Desai, the executive director of the New York Taxi Work- ers Alliance, said the measure was simply another tactic to raise revenue for the city.
In 2011, the city issued more than 820,000 red-light camera violations, the Transportation De- partment said, down from more than one million in 2010. The city has also issued 86,180 bus-lane camera viola- tions since the program was begun in late 2010.

Desai said many cabdrivers had received bus-lane violations after performing what they thought were legal pickups or drop-offs in bus lanes. “With a camera, who do you argue against?” she said. The prestigious Yale School of Man- agement has appointed Indian American professor Anjani Jain as senior associate dean for the full-time MBA program as part of the school's expansion pro- gram.
Jain, an Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, graduate who has served in multiple leadership roles at the Wharton School of the Univer- sity of Pennsylvania, will join Yale on July 1, Dean Edward A. Snyder announced Monday. The school recently introduced a Master of Ad- vanced Management program and participated in the launch of the Global Network for Advanced Manage- ment, a collective effort by 21 international business schools to understand the challenges posed by com- plex global markets.
With the planned move to Edward P. Evans Hall, SOM's new campus, in late 2013, the New Haven, Connecticut based school intends to significantly in- crease the number of students in its master's degree programs. 'A njani is highly m otivated by Y ale SOM 's mission to educate leaders for business and society, and I am confident he will make important contribu- tions as the school continues to grow in scope and in- fluence,' Snyder said. As senior associate dean for the full-time MBA pro- gram, Jain will focus on Yale's flagship full-time MBA program, assuming lead responsibility for ad- missions, career development, and student and aca- demic services, it said. Jain has had a distinguished and impactful career at Wharton over the last 26 years, including ten years as vice dean of its full-time MBA program. For the last two years, he has been the vice dean of the MBA pro- gram for executives. Jain has taught a range of courses and conducted im- portant research in production and operations man- agement, and he will contribute to the Yale SOM cur- riculum as a senior lecturer.
Jain also has a PhD. From the University of Califor- nia, Los Angeles, Graduate School of Management.
Dharun Ravi, the Rutgers University student who was convicted of a bias crime after spying with his web cam on his roommate who later committed suicide, was released from Middlesex County jail Tuesday morn- ing after serving 20 days of his 30 day sentence. Ravi, 20, who eluded a max- imum 10-year sentence and reported to jail voluntarily May 31 while his lawyer appealed his sentence, was giv- en 10 days off his term for good be- havior and working while in jail. Ravi - who wore a beard and glasses while exiting prison - still faces three years of probation, as well as orders to pay fines and perfo rm commun ity serv- ice for spying on Tyler Clementi who was having a romantic encounter with another man. Saga La Casa De La Noche
Romancing SaGa 2 was a game that was never released in the States, along with its other two counterparts Romancing SaGa and Romancing SaGa 3. Music-wise, Romancing SaGa 2 had the best of the best. The compositions are as good as they come, with such masterpieces as 'Heartful Tears' (which U.S. Gamers should recognize from Final Fantasy Legend II) and the short 'Song of Everlasting Battles'. Once again, Ito proves himself very capable of handling battle themes, as the four that are on the soundtrack are all quite good. 'The Seven Heroes' Battle' is my personal favorite, although 'The Last Battle' is no slouch either. There are several cameos from past works, especially SaGa 2 (also known as FF Legend II).
Saga La Furia Coat Blue
The previously mentioned 'Heartful Tears' is one of them, but fans of the Gameboy series should also recognize the excellent 'The Legend Begins'. There are a few disappointments, but not very many. First of all, the beginning track combines several pieces into one, including the introduction and, oddly enough, the battle music. While it does turn out well, this can be inconvenient if you want to hear the battle music on its own. Also, there are a few duds, such as the boring 'Mermaid Legend', which sounds like something out of Final Fantasy V.
Overall, though, Romancing SaGa 2 is one of Squaresoft's best, and definitely a soundtrack worth picking up. Related Topics.
